Favourite Books of 2015 So Far.

I’m doing something a little different today. I’m going to do my favourite books of 2015 so far. I know I’m two months late but better late than never. I have Goodreads to help me, showing me the books I’ve rated 5 stars. But I’m not going to count rereads, like Divergent and Insurgent.

Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard was really good. I loved the world and the characters. I cannot wait for Glass Sword to come out and finally see what happens next. I could not put this book down when I read it. All the twists, lies and betrayals had me hooked.

I won Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver on Instagram earlier this year. This is the only book of hers that I own. I loved this. I think it’s one of my favourites from her. I did not see the ending coming and I can normally figure things out but not this time. It was such a good twist.

Not only did I really like A Thousand Pieces of You by Claudia Gray but it’s also one of my favourite covers. It’s beautiful. I wasn’t sure if I’d like this but it was so freaking good. All the different worlds in one book. It was so well written. I cannot wait for the next one to come out!

There’s not much I can say about The House of Hades by Rick Riordan. Even though I still haven’t read The Blood of Olympus (I’m getting to it) I love this series and Percy Jackson and the Olympians. If you haven’t read these books I highly recommend them.

I think The One by Kiera Cass is my favourite in The Selection Series so far. I haven’t read The Heir yet though so it could change. So much happened in this book, not only the end of the Selection but the whole rebel thing too. It was a great ending to America’s journey.

An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir started off a bit slow for me but it really picked up. There was a lot of action at the end and kind of a romantic side but not so much that it takes over the story. I will have to get my own copy of this because the one I read was from the library.

I gave Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins five stars because I could not put this book down. I’m not normally into romantic books or love stories but I was drawn into the story of Anna and Etienne.

Those are all the books I’ve given five stars so far this year. They aren’t in any order, except the order they are on Goodreads. Not counting the books I’ve reread though. I have a lot more that I’ve rated four stars.

If you want to see the books I’ve reread this year that I gave five stars let me know and I’ll do a post on them.

What are your favourite reads of 2015 so far? Let me know in the comments.
