October Wrap Up.

So I had a really bad reading month in October. I only managed to read three books. It was just one thing after another getting in the way of my reading. I had a reading slump, then my mother broke her ankle and wrist so she couldn’t really do a lot. And then at the end of the month out stray cat that turned up two months ago had three kittens. We didn’t even know she was pregnant. We had to figure out what to do, where to put her and then go and buy her kitten food. Things have settled down now so I hope I can get back into reading soon.

Invictus by Ryan Graudin – ★★★/5
The Wonderling by Mira Bartok – ★★★/5
Magnus Chase and the Ship of the Dead by Rick Riordan – ★★★/5

Not a lot of books and I gave them all three stars… I don’t know if it was me or the reading slump or the book. Or all three. I’ll be reviewing them all soon-ish.

What did you read in October?

October Wrap Up & November TBR.

monthlywrapup

Time for my monthly wrap up and TBR. I think I’m finally out of my slump. I haven’t read as much as I did earlier in the year but I have been busier. And it’ll only get worse as the holidays get closer. Anyway, onto my October wrap up.

My favourite book of October was definitely Gemina. I cannot wait for the next book!!

Now for my November TBR. I’m not sure how much I’ll get to read but these are all at the top of my TBR.

I forgot to put This Savage Song in this photo but I was almost finished it when I put my TBR together so I didn’t think it counted.

I’m currently reading Holding up the Universe and will definitely be finishing it today. It’s such a good book and I love Libby and Jack.

What’s on your November TBR?

I didn’t have the best month for reading in October. I was in a reading slump for a bit in the middle, after trying to get through The Woman in Black and Other Ghost Stories.

Again, there are library books not pictured in the photo because they had to be returned before the end of the month.

Percy Jackson’s Greek Heroes by Rick Riordan – ★★★★★
Infinity by Sarah Dessen – ★★
Stray by Rachael Craw – ★★★★★
Someone Like You by Sarah Dessen – ★★★★
The Tales of Beedle the Bard by JK Rowling – ★★★★★
See Me by Nicholas Sparks – ★★★★
Finding Audrey by Sophie Kinsella – ★★★
The Woman in Black and other Ghost Stories by Susan Hill – DNF
The Jewel by Amy Ewing – ★★★★
Rogue Lawyer by John Grisham – ★★★
Illuminae by Amie Kaufman and Jay Kristoff – ★★★★★
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins – ★★★★★
The Lake House by Kate Morton – ★★★★★
The White Rose by Amy Ewing – ★★★★

It looks better when you add the library books but Infinity was only 30 pages at the most and The Tales of Beedle the Bard is small too. And I only made it halfway through The Woman in Black and other Ghost Stories before giving up on it. It’s my first book I’ve DNF’d.

How many books did you read in October? Let me know in the comments.
